My Mother Didn't Name Me Grace for a Reason !

Scenario -

* Come home from work Thursday evening feeling like a Mack truck just ran over me.

* Make a mess on the counter while cleaning a baking dish that I had left to soak in the sink.

* The water slopped over onto the counter.

* I move some of my decanter type bottles out of the way to clean up the slopped water.

* I set them on top of the cutting board to get them out of the way.

* While cleaning up the mess, I notice the water has gotten under the cutting board.

* Not thinking, I lift up the cutting board.

* This lovely (and rather heavy) bottle decides to fall to the floor because of my stupidity.

But ... before hitting the floor -

It landed directly on my toe .

(The big toe nail is still discolored from my last lack of grace, a few months ago)

OUCH !!!!!

The nail instantly turned blue.

The pain was rather intense (you know, the kind that makes you sick to your stomach?)

It has been real fun trying to find a pair of shoes to wear that dont' cause major pain ...

Similar incident many years ago resulted in a broken toe (other foot for me)!

I am amazed you could get that close and cry even more. That had to hurt... NLM

Ouch! Sounds like a bit of comical relief is needed! Too bad it's dreay as all get out around here - not quite sandal weather yet which would help your toe feel better!

Oh Honey! I'm so sorry. I hope that it feels better soon. Sounds like something that I would do.

Oh, I hate when that happens. And it happens more than I care to admit!
