November 22, 1963

It has been 45 years.

Today is the anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

AND I REMEMBER that day.

Does that make me OLD?

I think (unfortunately) during each of our lives, we will have at least one world event where we will remember forever exactly what we were doing when we heard about it. For me, those events are the Challenger disaster and 9/11. I remember both in vivid detail. I hope that neither of us has any more such experiences.

I did actually remember the day because it falls on the day after Beccy's birthday. I was doing my nurses training at the time.

How about trying to celebrate your birthday on that day, back when it happened. Ya I'm that old.

I saw my teacher crying.
I'd never seen a grown man cry - and I remember it like it was yesterday.
