Fun Monday-#47-Yes, I'm a Bag Lady Too !

Ms Cellania is our hostess this week and I send her many thanks for making this such as easy assignment. It is:

I'd like to know 'what type of shopping bag do you favour'-plastic or material? How many do you use. You could even show us what's in your bag!

Here in the United States, we too, are encouraged to GO GREEN and use reusable shopping bags. I keep a stash of them in my car ... Sometimes, when I am in a hurry, I forget to bring them in, but that's OK because the few plastic bags that I do get, I use them in my small waste paper baskets (in the bathrooms, the bedrooms and such).

Here are the ones that I brought in from the car:

I tend to reuse the paper "handled" shopping bags that you get in the department stores, also.

No pictures of the bags filled with groceries, because I was too lazy to go to the grocery store this weekend - just made do with what I already had in the cupboards and refrigerator !!

Go visit Ms Cellania and she what types of bags others prefer.
Save The Earth and GO GREEN.

I'm enjoying seeing all the different collections. I like 'easy' that was the original idea to show and tell.
BTW I'm having coffee in the cup you sent me right now.

I kept tearing holes in my plastic aldi bag like you've got, so I got one of the fabric ones instead.

Nifty bags! Ooo, you got one of the pink Giant ones!I saw those but didn't get one. And awesome Red Cross bag!

Like you, I remember to bring them with me sometimes, but I do try to reuse the plastic ones as trash bags. Our Giant has a recycling dropoff point for plastic bags, so whatever I don't reuse, I leave there.

I am liking that pink Giant bag. I have been going to Giant pretty frequently, so I may have to pick me up one of those! Seems I can never remember to take my 2 fabric bags into the stores with me when I shop. I am making a conscious effort to reduce my plastic bag usage and recycle the ones I got.

We are making such an effort to go green at my house in everyday ways - and yet I cannot remember to use the bags I've got. Sigh. Perhaps if I had one that was really special, I wouldn't forget!

Nice collection! Mine isn't as big, but it's growing. You know - I should reuse those department store bags. That's a good idea.

I never think to use my fabric bags for the grocery store, guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I do recycle all my plastic, so I know i am helping mother earth!

Oh, I have tons of these but I always forget them! I wish we had a Trader Joes in CO.

I wish I could remember to leave some in the car. I only take the big bags when I go grocery shopping but keep some softer smaller ones in my handbag just in case for other purchases.
