Did you have their pictures on your wall or in your locker?
Did you dress like them, style or colour your hair like them, follow them, meet them, marry them? (It could happen.)
Photos of THEM would be good, photos of YOU at the time you liked them would be even better.
Also, if you have time, I’d like to know whether they had any influence over your life, the person you became, or if they were just an embarrassing blip you would kind of rather forget about.”
When I was in middle school - he was the man !! I only had two of his albums but I listened them to them all the time (notice, that I said albums? that's vinyl for those of you who know of nothing but cassettes and CDs). I proudly hung the album covers (and the posters that came with them) on the wall of my bedroom.
Here Comes Bobby
1970
(This album cover folded out so that it showed his entire body)
With Love, Bobby
1970
OH, and I still have these albums, just no record player to play them on !!
I don't remember most of his songs except for JULIE, DO YOU LOVE ME?
After checking out YouTube (which I still can't seem to embed), a couple more all of sudden sounded familiar !!
Like, Little Woman and Easy Come, Easy Go (this video clip is from a much older Bobby !)
And, I must not forget ... Bobby Sherman played Jeremy Bolt on Here Comes The Brides
Of course, he sang the title song "Seattle" for that show ....
So, where is Bobby now?
Bobby has fathered 2 sons and has found a respectable niche as a medic/policeman in Southern California.
He has served as Captain on the LAPD, teaching CPR & First Aid and most recently as Sheriff on the San Bernadino Police Dept.
AND ... he has his own foundation.
And, if the above hasn't been embarrassing enough ... here I am in the summer of 1974 !
Make sure that you go visit Jo - I guarantee it will be worth your time !!

Booby Sherman seems to be a favorite of the Fun Monday crowd. At one time, my hair looked like yours except I had to iron my mine to make it straight.
Oops, make that Bobby Sherman. That really was mistyping on my part and not some commentary on the object of your affection, who is a very handsome man.
great picture of you...love your hair!! that is interesting to see where he is now..I didn't know that.
He's a new one on me....*goes off to Google*
Wow, he is a very popular choice. Thanks for the clips, and the photo of you is lovely.
Thanks for playing too, and have a fabulous day. :D
I've come across him on another post but I don't think I recall him ever in UK charts.
He looks nothing like he did how many years ago??I do remember him and I remember a couple of the others you listen to back them.
Man I must be telling myself something if I remember back then.
Ah, I remember your hairstyle and envied the girls who had that lovely long hair. Have you come across the Fun Mondayer who actually married a fair look alike for Bobby Sherman?
Sounds like he's made a good life for himself. And he's giving back. :)
Bobby Sherman was quite popular today...
That long hair is beautiful...along with the gal who owns it.
I can't believe so many of us chose Bobby Sherman. I thought sure I was the only Bobby-lover. AND no!! NLM does NOT look like Bobby now... Bobby has hair!!
I thought he was huggable, too. In the SEattle show, I didn't like the girl that was chosen for him. Was it because I was jealous -- I don't know. I just wanted to send her bck to Petticoat Junction or wherever she came from. (:
Um, well. That's great! I have no idea who that is.....
But I'm 19 years younger than you so it's fair, right?
And mjd's first comment, or slight of the tongue rather just made my night.
((Booby Sherman - HA!))
I do recognize the name from back then, but I wasn't all that into the celebrity scene. It is so interesting he didn't stay with the whole celebrity thing and is doing a community based career. Love the photo of you also.
Bobby Sherman is a popular choice this week!
My first crush was Rick Springfield - and pathetically I still adore him.
Look how pretty you were - and still are I might add!
I have never heard of Bobby Sherman...but I did have vinyl records! My first was Foreigner Four. My first crush was Shaun Cassidy. LOVED HIM. Also Parker Stevenson (Hardy Boys, anyone)?
Your picture - so beautiful!
