Many thanks to Tiggerlane for hosting Fun Monday this week. Her assignment in voyeurism:
I wanna see your CAR! It can be your current car, the first car you ever had, maybe your first new car with that new-car smell, a car you wrecked once, or even the dream car you would drive - given all the money in the world! Oh - and if you have a truck, SUV, lawnmower, whatever the local authorities allow you to drive, let's see it!
Here it is !!
Nothing fancy that's for sure. But it is the very first NEW car I have ever owned (even though it is now 3 years old). Every ride before this one was owned by someone else first. How I wish I still had my first one - a yellow '67 Mustang affectionately known back then as "My Little Pony".
2004 Hyundai Elantra - Good on gas - which is a neccessity in Northern VA !
Haven't had any problems with it in the last 3 years other than the headlights kept burning out - but the dealership replaced them each time at NO CHARGE.
Those Koreans need to learn a thing or two about headlight bulbs!

I have never owned a 100% new car. They have always been new to me, but not brand spanking new. My first car was a hyundai too! Except it wasn't nearly as realiable as yours...
Nice car, my husband drove a '65 Mustang for quite a few years.
I see that you live in Virginia. My husband and I recently vacationed in Virginia and had a wonderful time.
Looks like a great comfy ride!
maybe they don't drive after dark???
I know someone else with a Hyundai elantra... I'll have to investigate and find out if thats common.
My fil has a hyundai he doesn't drive much at night so I don't know if he's had that problem yet.
My first new car was a hyundai Lantra - the year before they changed the name to Elantra. I loved that car, they are so good! So cheap to run, too.
I've never owned a brand new car either. I like this one. Silver is my favorite color for a car!
That looks a very smart car and reliability is a bonus as repairs cost a fortune.
I'm glad you finally treated yourself to a 'new' car.
No more headaches, right?
Totally worth it in the end. Even if the headlights have burned out a few times (what's up with that?)
I've never owned a new car, it must feel great.
