Fun Monday #7 - Your Favorite Treat

Beckie at Give It A Try is the hostess with the mostess this week and wants to know what your favorite treat is.

Her assignment is:

I want to know what your favorite treat is. Is it sweet or sour? Is it plain or salty? Is it candy or chocolate? Is it homemade or store bought? For instance, if your favorite is chocolate, tell us what kind specifically - sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes not so much. I have heard a lot of talk about Junior Mints, but is it your favorite or just a tasty treat? It can be anything, popcorn, peanuts, ice cream or chips, maybe you have more than one favorite - that is ok, just show us your favorite(s) and tell us why you like it so much. C’mon, what gets you all juiced up?

My favorite treat is .... Well, I absolutely love dark chocolate but one can get that any time they want. A treat is something special, something that isn't readily available when you "just have to have some!" So ....

My favorite treat is both sweet and salty and tastes best (in my opinion) when you can devour it freshly made. You can't go to the grocery store and buy the real thing (although you can get something close, but it just isn't the same). You have to go to a fair, a craft show, flea markets, the beach or just about any place where a special event might just happen to be taking place.

My favorite treat is KETTLE CORN !

If I smell it in the air, I have to buy some. If you are with me, I might share (a little) but usually I eat the whole damn bag all by myself !! Not too sweet and not too salty - but oh, so good!

Make sure you check out all the other special treats - I wonder how many of them will be chocolate of one variety or the other ?

yummy! I heart kettle corn and I am glad that the real thing is hard to get because I really don't need to be eating it more than I already do:) LOL!! I was so excited when I saw the boxed stuff then I tried it! BLECH!! I think it still may be sitting in the back of my cabinet with one packet gone!

Hmmm, must be a family trait, I too love kettlecorn.

But I have a sweet tooth in general and will eat just about anything that is considered a treat.

So there.

I LOVE kettle corn! It is so good when it is fresh! I wonder if it is good with M&Ms?

I don't think I've ever had kettle corn but I'd like to try it so see how it compares with ordinary popcorn which I'm not that keen on.

If it is that popcorn with sweet caramelly type thing on it then I love it. And I don't fancy popcorn usually. If it is not that I have no idea what it is!!

I have not had the pleasure of tasting kettle corn. Of course, I have had popcorn and caramel corn but not kettle corn. Based on your recommendation, I will have to give this a try.

I don't know why, but kettle corn just seemed wrong - like it is supposed to be salty, you know?

There are a LOT of chocolate lovers out in Fun Monday-Land!

How could I have forgotten this one? It's got to be warm from the kettle...oh, fine, I'll gobble it cold!

My husband and I both LOVE dark chocolate.

And my sister actually told her children dark chocolate was "grown up" chocolate so she wouldn't have to share it with them...until they found out the truth!

Kettle corn is very good, but I like movie theater popcorn with extra, extra, extra butter best. Maybe some Twizzlers to go along with.

I had Kettle Corn for the first time in my life last year (April 2006) - and was an instant fan. Now all my microwave popcorn is in this flavor.

The only popcorn I halfway like is kettle corn. I can get past the fact that the stuff gets stuck in my teeth and in the back of my throat for a little taste of that stuff!

Get a movie and you're all set to go! Sounds like a good deal to me. :)

Never heard of kettlecorn but can't stand popcorn. It would be fun to try it and see the difference.

Just wanted to say thanks so much for the package. It was great, though some of the items were immediately stolen off of me! I hope to post about it tomorrow night.
