Fun Monday # 21 - "The Best" Again

Robinella is the hostess this week and she's giving us all a break (especially those who participated in Nablopomo last month). I didn't, but did have a heck of a time trying to stay caught up and read every post - every day!
Her assignment was:

Since most of us participated in Nablopomo and we are exhausted, I wanted to make this one easy. Since it’s December and most of us are starting to decorate and make things colorful, I too wanted to make things colorful. And lastly, because we are bloggers and consider what we post to be down right hilarious or informative or brainy and we like to showcase ourselves, I wanted to let you do just that!
Take a moment in this last month of 2007 to reflect on the past year. Okay? Done? Now…

I took a trip backwards through this blog, to pick a post to post again. The one I chose isn't funny or informative or even brainy. It's serious, but meant and still means a lot to me.
I lost a dear friend in March of 2006. I remembered her on the 1 year anniversary of her death. I think about her often, especially since her birthday just recently passed in November and the holidays are approaching. She loved Christmas. The simplest things made her so happy. I miss her still and always will ....

Dearest Jeannie,
You left this world way too soon.
You are now dancing with the angels and watching over me until we meet again.

To Those I Love and Those Who Love Me

While I am gone release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears.
Be happy that we had so many beautiful years.
I gave to you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown.
But now it's time I traveled on alone.
To grieve for me a while if grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust,
It's only a while that we must part,
To bless the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on,
So if you need me, call and I will come,
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near.
And if you listen with your heart,
You'll hear all my love around you soft and clear,
And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say ...
"Welcome Home"
Rest in Peace
I miss you
Go pay Robinella a visit and check out what everyone else "feels is their best" !!

I remember the first time you posted that, and it made me cry.

And well, I read it for a seond time, and I cried again.

It's tough losing people in your life, whether it be friends or family. Every time I step foot inside my workplace I'm reminded of Ken, and I still think to this day that he's going to pop out from around a corner just like he always did before to say hello. And then I'm reminded that he's no longer with us. I still say hello to him just the same, I know he's listening because he always did in the past.
